This paper is ideal for watercolors. It doesn't have as much texture as sheets or baohong paper, but it still absorbs very well and works just as well. The only problem I have is that the paper tears much easier than other brands. I can't use painter's tape because of the tears. I have duct tape that works better but always goes up. Another plus is that each notebook comes in a pad of 15 sheets instead of the usual 12 sheets. It's a lot cheaper than most watercolor papers and because it's 100% cotton, it's great for watercolors. They also come in a variety of sizes that get more expensive as they grow, but are still significantly cheaper than other leading brands like bows. I've already gone through half a dozen of these pads and I have three or four more to come. I will continue to buy this paper. It's on par with the Canson legacy in terms of quality and value. I will admit that I like the Canson legacy the most, even more than the arches, but the Stonehenge Legion is still my favorite and I will continue to use their paper!
