Currently used in a new cage. Much better than the fragile piece of metal that comes with the initial purchase of a squid. It's made of a very durable hard plastic that my cockatiel won't leave a mark on. I would also suggest that you remove the plastic stand and just place it on the end of a regular perch. don't risk a dead friend by leaving it on, or at least get some product info and read reviews. I'll see how long it lasts.
