I have 3 monitors and an MSI Creator 15 laptop which should be able to drive them via the USB-C port. This hub is great for graphics work - I use all 3 ports and drive 3 1080 monitors (they're not 4k monitors) with no issues. The problem I'm having is that I'm using the headphone output on one of the monitors. HDMI. The HDMI hub port is used to connect to this monitor and the sound goes through, but when playing audio (music, video, games) there is a hiss or crackle every few seconds. If I only use two DP ports on the hub and operate an HDMI monitor via the HDMI port of my laptop, the sound never crackles. While I can work around this issue as above, I have a hub to simplify/minimize what is connected to the laptop for better cable management. . Post this in case it helps someone else using a similar (stupid) setup.
