Unreliable power supply

This is a rare adapter that can support 2 4k monitors at 60Hz with PD. The only problem is that the AC adapter stops charging the laptop (Surface Pro 7) after it wakes up from sleep mode. Disconnecting and reconnecting sometimes solves the problem.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Not fancy

Worked sporadically for a while and now only works with 1 monitor

I tried using it for 2 monitors and it kept turning on and off for a while and the 2nd monitor would occasionally crash. Different cables are tired and there is no difference. Now it's only good for 1 monitor. Almost a waste.

Excellent customer service.

At first I thought the device was not working. It turned out to be my laptop (Microsoft Surface) which only supports up to three displays at a time, including the laptop's own display. I was impressed that customer service diagnoses my issue with just two emails and effectively resolves the issue.

Works great - DVI to HDMI adapter

Video was just plug and play on my Surface Book 2. I connect it to 2 x 1080 24" monitors via DisplayPort. Few PD cords but once I got it working it charged just as well via the Anker 100w charger as if the charger was plugged in directly. A good solution for working on the go when you need to connect 2 monitors but don't want to lug the docking station with you. your backpack every day. Just a very small note is that I would like the USB-C cable to be either longer or more flexible for easierโ€ฆ

Works for two 4K monitors at 60Hz

This is a good solution if you want to connect two 4K monitors at 60Hz to one USB-C port. Thunderbolt 3 - or better.) I'm using this with a 15" Surface 3 laptop with an Intel i7 processor. Everything is working well. The only downside I found is that the device crashes when my laptop wakes up from sleep. Instead of a clean resume, the status LED blinks rapidly until I press the reset button or unplug/replug the USB-C port on my laptop.

Will drive 3 displays but HDMI audio randomly wheezes

I have 3 monitors and an MSI Creator 15 laptop which should be able to drive them via the USB-C port. This hub is great for graphics work - I use all 3 ports and drive 3 1080 monitors (they're not 4k monitors) with no issues. The problem I'm having is that I'm using the headphone output on one of the monitors. HDMI. The HDMI hub port is used to connect to this monitor and the sound goes through, but when playing audio (music, video, games) there is a hiss or crackle every few seconds. If I only

This adapter connects to a dual-display 5K monitor

He is very well built. This excellent HBR3 DisplayPort 1.4 USB-C adapter works great over my laptop's DisplayPort 1.4 USB-C Alternate Mode port. As you'd expect, it does get warm when sending 5K or 8K signals. This was a great purchase after a long search for a HBR3 DisplayPort 1.4 USB Type-C to Dual DisplayPort adapter for my 5K monitor and I am very grateful that I got it at a very reasonable price. The bonus HDMI port is nice too. Thank you Cable Matters. (It simultaneously drives a 5Kโ€ฆ

Does not support legacy DisplayPort 1.2 4k monitors

This is what I'm getting because I'm up to date at two different times. I have two Dell 2414Q 4K monitors that I can drive using DisplayPort 1.2 at 60Hz. These are wonderful monitors that I have had for 5 (!) years. I wanted to drive these monitors with a Surface 3 laptop that a) doesn't support Thunderbolt 3 but b) has a weird USB-C to DisplayPort. 1.4, which should theoretically allow me to run two 4K monitors at 60Hz. But I think it's only for DisplayPort 1.4 monitors which my old Dellโ€ฆ
