Instead of repeating what others have said, here's a hint. To cancel the auto power off, press and hold the "SEL” button while turning on the device. There is no clock icon in the upper left corner and it will not turn off after 15 minutes. It beeps like it's about to shut down, but it's nothing more than a reminder. All in all a really good meter. The only downside I've found so far is that it doesn't pick up voltage ripple on a DC power supply. Example: I had a ripple of 1.5V 60Hz at a supply voltage of 250V and the counter showed 0.00. I could see it on the scope and on the older counter. Maybe because it's a real RMS meter?
