If it's pinned to the door, it doesn't mean the linebacker or the police can enter your front door. The aim is to deter potential burglars and give you another layer of security by warning you of possible break-ins. Supposing the thieves want to enter your house unnoticed, it is not easy as shown in the video. In addition, every sound will alert you and give you extra time to prepare to flee or defend. - That being said, I have observed that you should lean the safety bar against the door at an angle for best results. To make this more efficient I push in the rubber stopper at the bottom which creates more resistance when trying to open the door. - The security latch can be used to block a sliding balcony or patio door, you simply adjust the length and it works the same way. Overall I like it very much and will buy it again when the time comes.
