No matter how I adjusted the height or the leg.

No matter how I adjusted the height or the footrest, I could slide the door because the footrest slipped on the tile or concrete floor. I couldn't do that with 25 year old rods that I "upgraded". I haven't tried it on carpet which could be less slippery. Returned.

Pros
  • sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Easy assembly. Just note that the rubber piece on the bottom is articulated so it lies flat on the floor. I believe they provide another "layer of security". I have hardwood floors so I just cut a small square out of rubber shelf liner to keep it in place. I have one for every door in my house.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Very expensive

Stable and easy to assemble

I ordered a protective bar for our sliding glass door. There were no instructions in the kit but I figured it out and installed it with no difficulty. The top section that runs under the door handle is removable for use with a sliding glass door, allowing the slat to lie flat and not be visible. The length of the pole is adjustable, just slide it to the desired length and secure with a pin (see second photo). I am very happy with my purchase and feel more secure with the safety bar. Great price

With proper placement, this can buy you time to get your weapons.

Works great on carpet or bare faux wood floors. But you have to be sure that the bar is straight. It's straight, not crooked at all. I kick him from underneath to make sure he's really pushing the doorknob. A few people tried to get in while the bar was full and I feel it has held up well. I was NOT willing to put full force on the door because the door was falling apart, the door frame etc. AND WILL NOT hit the door. Both bars I bought continue to work very well! Along with flip guards to…

Does not work on linoleum

Purchased for added protection of main entrance. The product was delivered on time. Unfortunately, the woman was busy that day and put the box in the garage. When we remembered, she opened the box and tested the product. She could place the goods correctly, exit through the back door, walk around them, and slam the door as if there were nothing there. After trying several different settings with no further success, we decided to return the product BECAUSE IT DON'T WHAT IT SAYS. Unfortunately…

Protect yourself! best door hardware and locks

So we moved to a new apartment 2 weeks ago and found ourselves on the ground floor for the first time. We have always preferred apartments on the top floor because we felt safer and more comfortable. As two small women living alone in the house with no husband or dog, we decided we needed security even before we moved. We bought window locks and 2 of these until we could afford an alarm system. The strips are easy to install and very durable. We have one on each of our sliding glass doors and…

A win for home security!

Let me start by saying that this roll bar is definitely worth a look. The purpose of the purchase is to add an extra layer of protection to your home and give you a better chance of protecting yourself, your loved ones and your belongings. The safety bar comes in a nice box with simple instructions. To set it up, push the button at the bottom, twist the shaft, slide it up until you reach the length you want, and lock it in place. Once you have found the length you want, simply lean against the…
