Just needed something cheap but fairly rainproof, nothing fancy, for a wild cat an elderly friend is looking to adopt in his garden. One reviewer took a picture and commented on my own problem, but I must have missed his review. I thought maybe there is some sort of rubber band under the cage running from each bottom side of the lid to hold it in place. It has velcro to close every corner and side, but a quick breeze for an outdoor cat and the thing is gone. It's thin and light, but suitable for shade and most precipitation. The material is very similar to lightweight parachute pants for those who are my age and remember them. At least for a wildcat, that's better than just being outside. SOLUTION: We can either put a light rock or something else around the corners of the cage to hold it, or I can quickly run and buy a rubber band and sew some straps around the bottom edges and just put the cover on the back. So the price is reasonable for indoor use, but it needs to be changed badly for outdoor use.
