I bought this DVD burner about 3 weeks ago and have been trying to get it working ever since. The software is not compatible with any media software that I have. I have a Pentium 4(2.4)512MB with enough disk space. I am using Windows XP. I only managed to get it working temporarily only to find another problem after a reboot. It seems ridiculous to pay money for a DVD burner and then spend hours trying to get it to do what it was supposed to do in the first place! As far as I know, HP has let the consumer down. Expecting a manufacturer to have a consumer remove CD burning plug-ins and upper and lower registry keys in Windows is incomprehensible for a manufacturer. Stay away from this HP DC 5000 recorder!
