I like them a lot because the end of the hose has threads (not really sure to call them that) which make it easy to install the hose. Most fittings you just slide on and you usually end up squeezing the nylon braid or using a lot of force in a vise or something, but you can actually twist the socket on the end of the hose and it will pull the hose (and braid). into the nest. . It also has a reverse thread. So when you start screwing in the other half of the fitting, it pulls the hose further in instead of pushing it out. All fittings must have this property.
