As repeatedly mentioned on the review pages, these shoes run very small. They look great, but it's like the manufacturer used the neckline of the foot to determine the sizing. They're quite long, but there's no height for a real human leg. And that's not the "break them" area. To break them in, you need to cut a hole in the upper part of the shoe to allow the toe knuckles to flex. I took the advice of others and bought a 9.5, half a size larger than what I like to wear. I could put a shoe on, but I couldn't walk. I'm returning the order and going up another half size. These are beautiful shoes made of high quality material so I would like to try again in the hope that they fit properly. Keep for updates.
