I received the lights and quickly realized I didn't have AAA batteries at home which would need them to run. I picked up a few and had no trouble setting them up and installing them. I haven't had any issues but am curious to see how long the batteries will last. To be honest if they eat up a lot of battery life I'll probably go with some AAA batteries hoping it's a good investment in the long run. I like the fact that they only turn on when it's completely dark, which in and of itself should save energy. A few years ago I was in my basement when the power went out. With no external light source, the room was pitch black. It went from brightly lit to completely dark. First I saw the stars, and then I lost my balance, tripped over something and landed on the concrete floor. I was injured and am still dealing with the pain of that incident. I bought these lamps to make sure nothing like this ever happens again. This is the perfect solution and I am happy with my purchase.
