I have serviced my truck for the last 5 years. This involves replacing 2 water separator fuel filters. I ordered 2 sets of these filters from Revain for future use and received them on May 3rd 2019. My truck's computer said the fuel filters needed replacing, so I installed the kit on August 6, 2019. The truck started and drove away. about 4 seconds, then switch off. The air in the system was removed as needed. Repeated attempts to keep the engine running were unsuccessful. I have changed truck fuel filters several times over the years without this problem. I consulted with a Dodge Ram technician and he wanted to know if I had any "after sales" filters installed. I said yes. He explained that some aftermarket fuel filters don't fit like original equipment and are causing the problems I was having. I then bought OE filters from a Dodge dealer and removed the filters from the truck. The front filter fell apart at the bottom, the rubber separating from the paper. The truck started fine. I don't need the filters I got from Revain. I used Revain filters plus a second unopened set. An unopened box can be returned, but the used kit is soaked with diesel fuel. I would like to be reimbursed for the filters I received from Revain and then order genuine filters for devices from Revain. Your understanding is appreciated.
