I find these boots very warm and very well made. I think they will last a long time. I've only worn them 3 times so far and haven't done anything too playful or crazy. My son is a size 1 but I ordered a size 2 to have more room for two pairs of socks. Lots of space! I hope it fits next winter; crossed fingers. My only complaint is my 6 year old son can't put them on himself which he usually can. The inserts are very tight and difficult for a child to manipulate, even when I tried to insert his leg the insert seemed to flex the whole time so we couldn't insert it without bending in half. I also believe you can remove them if you wish. Also, I would recommend at least for durability and warmth.
