Adjustable White Balance is Misleading, WiFi Connection Problems

These bulbs did not work out for me for two reasons.First, I was unable to get more than one of them connected to my wifi network at a time. The first bulb connected with no problems, but when I tried to add more, the app would not detect the additional bulbs. I tried several different bulbs and I tried connecting the additional bulbs with the first one powered on and off, but nothing worked.Second, the ability to adjust the color temperature via the bi-color led filaments is misleading. Yes, the bulb has filaments of two different color temperatures and they can be dimmed independently, however because these are Edison bulbs with exposed filaments, the blending of the two colors is ineffective. If you look directly at the bulb you can always see the very cool white filament, regardless of the balance setting, which has a harsh appearance. But even the light that is cast from the bulbs into the room is not well blended so the color balance is uneven and shadows have multi-color fringing around the edges. Bi-color temperature adjustable LEDs can be very effective when the light is effectively blended, but in the case of these bulbs it is not.Between the poor light quality and connectivity issues, I strongly recommend you consider other options.

Pros
  • ‎LED
Cons
  • The bulb may not be the most energy-efficient, especially when used for extended periods, adding to the user's electricity bill
