Cannot speak for other years or models but I can confirm this is NOT the part you need to replace the front crank from the valve cover to the piece of plastic that goes to the airbox in the Jeep Cherokee ( XJ ) '97 with a 4.0 liter engine. You want a piece with a wide opening and a SHORT elbow so it DOES NOT hit the bottom of the hood. This part from Dorman 47079 rubs on the hood so I was uncomfortable fearing it would break if I slammed the hood too hard or that a vacuum might leak due to an unintentional adjustment. The hood weighing down the plastic knee appeared to be an issue waiting to be solved. I moved on to the next part and was very happy with the fit: Crown Automotive PCV Valve Elbow Emission Control 53030991. It is shorter in height so there is no pressure on the hood and the plastic piece that connects the air intake brackets to it in the correct position becomes.
