The product description doesn't state that you need a different adapter for the thru axle than the one that came with the machine so I ordered it. Upon delivery, I found that, firstly, the module that reads out information about the trainer was missing, and secondly, that my bike didn't work with it. I wrote to the seller, and after several messages I solved my two problems, I will send the module and the through-axis adapter to the post office within 5-10 days. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! In the meantime I 3D printed the adapter and installed the bike the next day. However, without the module, no application will work. A week later I received a notification from Fedex that it would be delivered soon (expedited shipping!). Upon receipt I installed everything and they fit correctly; but due to my MTB frame geometry, the caliper hits the trainer when I try to raise it to front wheel height; So I had to remove the caliper or at least leave it loose. With a little fiddling with the plastic washers, I was able to align the frame with the cassette so shifting worked smoothly. I use a cheap cassette, 10-speed 11.-40T, that fits my bike; with Shimano 34T chain ring. Unfortunately with this setup I have to use the lowest gear (11T) to get some resistance, but 30 minutes at 140W is enough to get me sweating. Since it's a dumb trainer, you won't get an exciting ride with the many workout apps available. somehow strange when ascending or descending; However, I've had fun since completing the setup. so far I've tried RGT Cycling (some free content) and Swift (free for 7 days); I used ANT+ (and the USB stick that came with it) with my laptop, but after a few days I switched to Bluetooth and threw the USB stick away. A few days ago there was a sound similar to a rattle but not as loud; Since it is very quiet, I often notice a rattling noise. I'll open it when it gets louder. Another reviewer pointed out a similar issue, so I'll try this solution. Overall it's very, very quiet; offers sufficient stability, like more expensive liquid trainers; Direct drive means you don't wreck tires indoors; no need to buy an expensive cassette, cheap enough. The downside for my bike is that it is a hassle to install and remove as I have to remove the caliper and the thru axle is really difficult to install. The frame must be very well aligned with the trainer to slide in. I will be changing my chainring from 34T to 40T or more to be able to raise/lower the cassette to maintain my cadence but change the resistance to make it more fun. I will also be purchasing a cadence sensor to add another variable to track in my workout.
