Turning it off might have an issue - killed my heating pad
At first this device seemed great. We used it in Israel to charge our phone via USB ports and work with a heating pad. After a few days of normal operation, the heating pad (brought from home and little used) died. I've been trying this since I got home and it doesn't work. As such, I would not plug anything else into the outlets on this unit. Charging the phone via USB continued to work without any problems. I have no idea what happened, but I cannot recommend these expensive products just for charging phones. There are cheaper and simpler USB products out there.
