I bought this radio for my elderly mother after she had problems using another Bose radio she had for around 4-5 years . The only way she could do anything with her old radio was with the remote control, and she found it too difficult and confusing to use - the remote was too small, the buttons were hard to see, and it was hard to figure out what the individual goods do. She eventually stopped using the radio. This model is an older version. My mom just LOVES this version of the radio because it's so easy for her to play her CDs, set the time, select/save her favorite radio stations and increase/decrease the volume just by pressing the buttons. up on the radio. I was a little apprehensive as it was older and renovated, but my fears were unfounded. It works very well, the sound quality is excellent and most importantly, my mother is using the radio again and is very happy!
