After years of using felt pads I got fed up and started looking for something better. For now that's all. I had no trouble installing them because my seats had plastic knobs nailed to the bottom of the legs. After removing the buttons, I used the existing holes to carefully hammer in the felt pads for the nails. Assembly took about 20 minutes for 4 chairs and a bench. Stickers usually lay on the floor under my table after a party, but the nail pads survived and really protected my floor. I don't expect them to last forever because it feels easy and they will take a lot of abuse. I will be using them for the foreseeable future and would highly recommend this product. This makes installation easier and prevents breakage during installation. The cup of the pad is made of plastic, so you can easily break or tear off your fingernail. The "nail" is actually a wire rod, so it bends easily, so tap it lightly with a hammer.
