Easy to install and just what we needed to keep.

Easy to install and just what we needed to keep the chairs from scratching the floor. You need to pre-drill for nails. I didn't bend or damage a single one, and it took me less than a bottle of beer to make 6 dining chairs.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide

Save my floors! - Furniture fittings

A great way to save on your floor! The pads are approximately 3mm thick with a 3mm thick plastic base. We put them on bar stools in our house. reviews say. First, it prevents the wood from cracking and helps the nail bend. Put a cross to find the center to avoid overlapping or tearing the wood. If your feet have awkward angles, don't worry, the weight will flatten them out over time.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Great solution for floor protection

I bought these for my furniture legs after we installed hardwood floors. I used to use a stick on carpets and was very disappointed because when moving the furniture they kept slipping and leaving sticky marks on the floor. These completely solved the problem. They've been around for months and I've had no problems with them coming loose, even on dining chairs that are constantly moving. The only complaint I had was that the nails could have been a bit stronger. A few buckled as I drove themโ€ฆ

  • Decent performance

  • Easy to maintain

Can hollow out your floor!

The nail heads are too small (more like decorative nails than buttons) so the nail head may poke the soft plastic onto the felt surface when you pound your foot. They usually don't protrude enough to be noticeable; They will just sit flush with the surface of the felt, giving you a false sense of security. But the weight of the furniture can compress the felt so much that the head sticks out. So, ironically, when you move furniture, the 'protective' felt pads express your beautiful new hardwood

Pads don't last long - furniture pads

Pros: Pads are easy to apply Pads attach well to chair Cons: Felt doesn't last long Pads deform easily exposing a plastic edge that scratches the floor These pads have a plastic ring that holds the felt center to the bottom Unfortunately for heavier users the felt is so high that it deforms slightly on one side exposing the plastic lip. This plastic edge then becomes a surface that comes into contact with the floor and scratches the floor. We have cheap vinyl floors so I don't mind too much but

They are quite small

Bought this after buying a number of guards from Local Menards. Menara are expensive and don't work.1. I bought sticky pads and stuck them on and the way my kids pull these chairs nobody gets stuck. So it failed.2. I bought some skid plates and then installed them. They had some kind of plastic protection. But I think it scratched my wooden floor. They stuck together. But it scratches the floor. Defeat the target.3. I bought them and they solve both problems. They cannot be removed as they areโ€ฆ

  • Could have chosen a newer model

High quality felt. I replaced the legs of 8 dining chairs that were out of order. These legs were my second attempt at repairing felt tip chairs and I have to say they are of much better quality than the first ones I tried. All the first felt feet I tried slipped off. A few months later they haven't moved! Replacement Installation Tip: If you're trying to install them on chair legs with pre-existing holes, do yourself a favor and stick a toothpick or picks in the hole before butchering one ofโ€ฆ

Felt is short lived Hardware

They were rated 4 stars in my original review based on initial fit and ease of installation. Now that they are on the chairs and have been using them daily for about three weeks, I have noticed that the felt on the underside of the upholstery has either completely worn away or has come loose from the plastic guide. Chairs now wobble or make loud scraping noises when pulled out from under a table due to the plastic on the tile. I have oak chairs on ceramic tiles. I only weigh about 170 pounds so

  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Reliability

Great solution for floor protection

After years of using felt pads I got fed up and started looking for something better. For now that's all. I had no trouble installing them because my seats had plastic knobs nailed to the bottom of the legs. After removing the buttons, I used the existing holes to carefully hammer in the felt pads for the nails. Assembly took about 20 minutes for 4 chairs and a bench. Stickers usually lay on the floor under my table after a party, but the nail pads survived and really protected my floor. Iโ€ฆ
