Review on Laser 7337 EGT Sensor Socket by Lacueva Tranquillity

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It must be incredible! fits powerhead kits

I work on medium duty Isuzu/GM trucks and often replace egt sensors under warranty. To get to the sensor, you have to remove the turbocharger. The time of the book is 3.6 hours of work, it took me 4-5 hours. I didn't get the job done in 3 hours when I feel ready (and the bolts don't break). I've tried all the offset/houndstooth/sensor jacks. I've tried torque adapters with 6-point and 12-point open crow's feet. I have carefully researched options from Snap on, Lang, Lisle, Matco and many others but have had no luck, some of them fit the sensor's hex nut but due to the extremely limited clearance I will not rotate it. I was ready to give up and admit that the book time couldn't be beat. and then i found them, i wasn't sure if they would work, although they claim to be for sensors e.g. Arrived in the mail, tried the 14mm houndstooth style on a 12" extension, BOOM I loosened that gauge! The job was done in 20 minutes (still have to remove the intake duct/fairing). Now if I could just deal with the Egt ads all day my workweek hours would be insane lol.

Pros
  • Black phosphate
Cons
  • Hard to tell
