Revainrating 4 out of 5

CI642 I5 - Overall a decent car.

This system is pretty easy to use right out of the box. The memory sockets were a little tricky at first, but I didn't wear glasses when installing the memory, so no big deal. The computer has built-in speakers. So if you can get the audio to work, you'll know. Since it is a PASSIVE cooled machine, it warms up well if you use it for a long period of time. However, keeping it clean and ventilated shouldn't be too much of a problem, and if you need an extra source of heat in the winter months this can help. I'm thinking of adding rubber feet under the regular feet to allow better airflow underneath, or some sort of laptop cooling pad with a small fan to keep safe on the go. The biggest problem I had was during the initial setup. . The big plus of this system is that all drivers are provided on a cheap USB stick. This will get you up and running quickly, especially if you only have a wireless connection. The downside is that the driver provided for wireless seems buggy in the sense that it often disconnects you from your connection. Updating the driver through Windows Driver Manager fixed this issue. The Zotac website didn't have a suitable driver on the support page at the time of writing this review, it's the same version as the cheap USB stick they shipped with the system. Also, they have three links for each driver on their site, something is wrong on their site. I haven't tried Linux since it's a Windows system, but I've heard mixed reviews about installing Linux there. Maybe now that it's served its current purpose I could try adding mint or something. Overall I think it's a good system based on what I've seen and worked with so far. Installing an SSD drive there makes the work really quiet and pleasant. The SD card slot on the front is a very nice touch, I could use it for something if I could get a big enough SD card for it without breaking the bank.
