Review on 🚲 Thule Low Rider Bike Mount: Secure and Dependable Bicycle Attachment Solution by George Saunier

Top and bottom mounting holes

I mostly transport my bikes in a short bed pickup. Because of the rollover tool kit, I have to remove the front wheel from the wheels and close the tailgate to install it. When my 10 year old mounts were getting rusty from not being properly cared for, the only one I could find in local stores only had mounting holes on one side of the fork mount, while I needed top and bottom mounting holes as they also provide a good mount are points for bungee cords. Thule was the only one that had mounting holes on both sides of the bracket, so I went with Thule despite the higher price. I attached them to the aluminum surface of my toolbox and they are solid. As long as I keep them lubed to prevent rust, these should be the last truck body mounts I've ever had to buy.

Pros
  • High quality corrosion resistant metal construction
Cons
  • Not all will fit
