Review on 🚚 Solar TPMS for Trailers: MINDER RESCH Ensures Tire Safety on the Go by Esera Warren

Revainrating 4 out of 5

First One Returned, Easy

Bought this just before towing my trailer on an 8 hour cross country trip in Colorado. Because of the crazy changing weather, altitude and temperature conditions, I wanted to be able to control my trailer tires. The first worked fine on the kitchen counter, but as soon as I attached it to the windshield and pulled it out of the garage, half of the backlit LCDs on the display stopped working. Apparently, when the solar panel generated a charge, it turned off about half of the LCD, making it impossible to read tire pressure and temperature. However, the alarm still worked and I could imagine how useful this device would be if it worked properly. I contacted Revain returns through the chat channel and was skeptical of the outcome but the carrier I spoke to was professional and polite and promptly sent me another unit AND a return label for the first one. Haven't taken this unit on a trip yet but it seems to work well and all LCDs work fine even in direct sunlight. On my journey with the first as I climbed to a higher altitude and the temperature dropped. , as well as my trailer's tire pressure, which set off an alarm when I arrived at my destination. Although I couldn't read the pressure gauge on the unit, once I connected my 12v tire pump to the trailer tires I could see that the tire pressure was below minimum and I inflated the tires. On the way back, at lower altitude and warmer temperatures, the alarm sounded again and I realized that the pressure had gotten too high. Temperature on the display during my trip so I initiated an Amazon return and replacement. Of course I still have to pull my 12v compressor to inflate the tires but I will know beforehand what the problem is and I think that will reduce my stress level by several notches. Also, let's say you pick up a nail and get a slow leak, this device will let you know before the tire goes all the way down and ruins your rim or. worse. I heard from a guy (who knows these things) that almost all trailer tires in the US are made in China and if not properly cared for they will fail (often catastrophically) at the worst possible moment. So it seems only fitting that this solar powered trailer TPMS tool should also be made in China. Had the first device worked properly, I would certainly have given it five stars for its informative presentation and usefulness. and the peace of mind it offers. If you get one, be sure to test it out by first installing the transfer blocks onto your trailer's valve stems, charging the block for half an hour via the micro USB port, and then taking it out in direct sunlight before attaching it to your windshield stick Because it's double-sided, the tape is amazingly sticky and difficult to peel off the inside of the windshield. However, after checking out a second time outside in direct sunlight, I went back inside. My trailer was in the driveway and garage between the kitchen and the trailer, but the unit appeared to be reading the trailer's temperature and tire pressure over 40 feet away with no signal repeater. Although it may have just displayed the last value received. So now that I think about it, before attaching it to the windshield, I would go out and remove one of the sensors from the trailer tire to see if the device isn't alarming due to lack of pressure while it's still on the kitchen counter.table. At a distance of 40 feet. However, during my voyage with the failed unit, I received alarms and it communicated with the sending units without a signal repeater. But I only have a 15-foot trailer and a mid-size SUV, so the distance between the sensors and the display was only about 22 feet. I hope this review helps you decide whether or not to buy this product. If you found it helpful, please click the button. Many Thanks.
