Note. This is NOT a cable modem. This is NOT a wireless router. You do NOT activate it with your cable carrier. This is an access point that creates an extension of your existing wireless network (in general) and requires a wired network to carry the signal. See below for details. However, there was no quick start guide, splitter, or Ethernet cable in my kit. I didn't need them, however, and instructions (not that you needed them!) are on the manufacturer's website. Four stars out of five for missing parts. All in all, this is an incredible value for $11-$13 or whatever it's worth if you're reading this. This device can connect Ethernet to WiFi, MoCA to WiFi and Ethernet to MoCA and create your MoCA network if you don't already have one. You plug it in and it just works. It has a default SSID that you can change to suit your home network and you can keep both radios on the same SSID, unlike some other platforms that force you to separate them. You will need a coaxial or ethernet cable to send the signal to your router. . Also, it's listed as a Time Warner special, but that doesn't matter if you only use it on your home network. It doesn't matter if you have Cox or someone else as long as you don't expect him to call your cable company back home. Also, according to the documentation, it doesn't work on the same coaxial cable as the satellite due to interference from the frequencies used by the satellite providers. I can't believe the value. It may just be 802.11n and MoCA 1.1, but with it you can create your own MoCA network and even turn off the radios if you don't need them and just want MoCA. The radios on this unit have been very reliable to me. It's also 2x2 MIMO, so you're getting decent performance. **UPDATE** I just bought a second one of these to have on hand for my parents or someone else. Can't beat $11. I bought this from another seller on Revain and it didn't come with a splitter, ethernet cable or quick start guide. I just think the product description is wrong. I reported this to Revane, but it will not harm others.
