Great entry level wedges at an unbeatable price

To be honest I've never owned a set of specialty wedges so I don't have a good base to compare. So far I'm very happy with my purchase! Obviously these will not be "professional" quality clubs but all the data so far suggests these are a great starter set of wedges and the price for a 4 can't be beat. I've only taken them to the field once so far and haven't picked them up, first at the shooting range as my dad was going to play 9 holes the same day I got them in the mail. I worked out the distance and height of each club from the seat of my pants but surprisingly I had a really good feeling with them on the seventh hole. Although I played when I was young, I was an aspiring golfer after a 12-year hiatus due to a disability. I picked up the game again about 3 months ago and even in my relatively inexperienced hands they have given very satisfactory results. They grip the ball well and generate nice backspin, especially on the 60 and 64 degree wedges. I hit the green at 60 and the ball stopped immediately as it touched the field with no visible bounce. On the 9th hole I threw the ball into the sand trap just to try the 56 degree sand wedge. I've never had a sand wedge before, but on the first swing I got the ball out of the bunker and hit it 25 yards. I used to have trouble hitting the ball 10 yards from the sand with my pitching wedge. Many people have commented on the quality of the grips, personally I found them quite comfortable. It's a very soft rubber with a lot of friction and you don't have to use a lot of force to grip the racquets. But since the rubber is so soft, I wouldn't be surprised if the grips wear out quickly. I'm keeping the original grips until I put them on. I will keep my serve wedge in my bag for longer shots because 52 degrees doesn't hit as far as my serve wedge that came with my full set of racquets. I've seen other reviews from some people who've broken them, so I went with the $11 protection plan that Revain offered at checkout just in case, but upon inspection they seem to be impressively durable. My guess is that the clubs that broke for others had some manufacturing defect, or maybe they were driven into the ground with a lot of force. I will be surprised if I ever use this protection plan. It takes a lot of practice to get where I am but I have no doubts that with this equipment and the right effort I can make it. Of course, are there better clubs out there? Judging by the price it is a starter kit. Given my low skill level, I can't imagine getting any significant added value from more expensive rackets. They are absolutely perfect for me hence 5 stars!
