I have very thick shoulder length hair and it takes an hour and a half to dry with a high power dryer. When it gets wet and dries out on its own, it becomes rough, wavy, and frizzy. I am a slave to my hair and avoid water unless I wash it. I've bought other "long hair" and "big" swimming caps but nothing covered my head or prevented my hair from getting wet before this one. I originally bought this to cover my head while swimming or in the hot tub, but it works so well I've started using it in the shower instead of a shower cap (my extra large shower cap doesn't keep hair out of my hair either) . . wet). This cap works great and keeps my hair completely dry while still leaving room (it keeps my hair pretty easy when it's in a ponytail. No hair gymnastics needed to tuck my hair in). My head with dry hair is 24 inches in circumference.
