There's too much wrong with that.

I have an old flashlight that uses 18650 lithium-ion batteries and it is old enough that the batteries cannot be charged in the flashlight. And, of course, a separate external charger has long been lost. So I was excited to try the Imren Battery Charger when it was offered to me through the Revain Vine Voice Review program. The first thing to note is that the title on the product's webpage is misleading. It says "USB 2 pin charger" and while there are definitely two plugs (see my first picture) this is NOT a USB charger - it has a regular 2 pin power cord as shown in the main image on the website. . So if you think you can use this device with one of your old USB phone wall adapters or any other USB adapter, you can't! Second, the little instruction manual that comes in the box says that this device can also use Ni-Cd batteries, but the box itself says very clearly not to use it for anything other than Li-Ion. Who knows what's true, but I didn't want to find out by trying some of my rechargeable AA Ni-MH batteries in it. (See second and third picture...) This is actually a big security issue. Finally, I was very disappointed to find that the LEDs that are supposed to help you understand what's going on (below the two circular "targets" on the front) are a bit blurry and sometimes difficult to see in normal room lighting. Green is clearly visible, but red is harder to see and yellow is almost invisible. And the manual is completely confusing about LED indicators and what they mean. The red light (see first picture again) isn't even mentioned in the manual, but do you intuitively think that red means "warning" and could be important? But the manual mentions a blue light I've never seen? Maybe they got blue and green mixed up? In any case, despite the difficulty in seeing the LEDs and errors/omissions in the instructions, the lights are pretty much useless. Anyway, I've been able to use this charger to successfully charge my 18650 batteries and they work great. in my flashlight, but there are enough things included (doesn't match the description, hard to understand what's going on, confusing instruction manual, not sure what you can or can't use it for) that I'm only giving it a few stars. It works with Li-ion batteries, which is what I need it for, but I'm sure there are better chargers out there for around the same price.
