Review on Autome Wifi Smart Plug Automation by Mike Kies

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It works well, connects well and does its job!

This plug was able to connect to the mains on the first try. It lasted a few seconds, but it happened fairly frequently. Sometimes these smart life devices may take 2-3 tries to reply. Luckily only one was needed for this. This is despite several other reviews stating they couldn't connect to anything. We didn't even use the manual (we haven't looked at it yet). This is mainly because we have used smart life many times for different devices and also because we are all nerds and miss instructions, by default we have time when we think "oh we got it!”. It works fine after connecting. and responds quickly to commands in the Smart Life app or assistants like Alexa (in one of the pictures you can even see that the popup for Alexa pointing to the plug was just forming on the screen when the screenshot was taken) . Prints on the top and bottom of the fork (you can see this in the main product images). This is for your thumb and forefinger to take it. It's about the same size as other well-known designs like the Wemo and Anker. The only thing that lowered its star for us is that it's a bit pricey now that so many other options are dropping in price. In some cases you can find an offer where you can buy two forks for the same price as this one. That means they're trying to compete with some of the bigger names right away, rather than some other new brands trying to make their mark.
