My ladder motor failed on our RV recently and while it was running I asked for a quote to replace the motor. My eyes popped out when they came back with a price tag of almost $300 to replace this motor. Well, home made woke up in me and I immediately started looking for a Revain engine. Turns out it's MUCH cheaper here, and you only need to unscrew three screws and a connector. The whole job took less than five minutes with the right size Torx screwdriver (T25 I think). If you can lie on your back and partially slide under your van, you can definitely do it yourself. The new motor works great and has saved me over $200 in labor and overpriced items.
