Try this part before you get the gearbox

At first I bought the gearbox thinking it would be a problem. First I had to remove this part. This motor has a plastic gearbox. Usually this is a problem. This part is easy to install. Just be sure to disconnect all batteries and if they are connected to ground, remove that connector as well. Three easy access bolts, electrical plug and conductor pin. Work for twenty minutes.

Great motor, saved me hundreds at the RV dealer

My ladder motor failed on our RV recently and while it was running I asked for a quote to replace the motor. My eyes popped out when they came back with a price tag of almost $300 to replace this motor. Well, home made woke up in me and I immediately started looking for a Revain engine. Turns out it's MUCH cheaper here, and you only need to unscrew three screws and a connector. The whole job took less than five minutes with the right size Torx screwdriver (T25 I think). If you can lie on your…

Fixed Kwikee footpegs on my van

My van suddenly had an issue with the steps not fully retracting. They got stuck a few inches from their final position. A few hammer hits on the motor temporarily fixed the problem, but the steps still stuck in that "too short" position when extending and retracting. Although the problem could only be related to the engine, replacing the engine and transmission completely solved the problem. Replacing the engine and transmission was fairly easy. I supported the steps with a prop to keep them…

Great replacement part.

The product should come with a new motor connector. When ordering an originally installed new part from another manufacturer, it is unclear whether all electrical connections are standard. There was no information to point you to it, or a part number to order a new plug. Revain informed me later and I ordered it asap. The problem is that I need all parts now or install them at the same time. Luckily the new engine connector was the same type as my bus. I tried canceling the new connector when I

Worked on a Kodiak Sidewinder Step

I installed Kodiak Sidewinder Steps on my 2003 Chevy. With the exception of the engine, the stages and parts of them are no longer manufactured. My regular ECU died on one of the Sidewinder stages. The step moves about 3 inches and stops. I contacted Kviki. I was told to look for a replacement on the used car market as the ECU is no longer manufactured. I turned to the van market to find a replacement control box. I found and purchased this model on Revain.com. The module is the same size…
