Works great with my 110 lb pullers

When you have a strong dog that is easily distracted and impatient, you need a collar with teeth. After my excitable dogs twisted my lower back muscles from severe and repetitive tugs on the leash, I settled on a spiked collar. I've been a fan ever since. My pair of 110 lb brothers are quite manageable individually, but when they're together they always seem to be competitive and easily distracted. The notched collar really helps remind them to follow MY speed and direction. I take them to the beach at least once a week and their old metal spiked collars have gotten very rusty. I replaced the collar with one of these Jipimon collars and am very happy with the change. This collar has a few improvements over the one I just got rid of: - It has a metal quick release buckle on the short section of nylon webbing for easy on and off - Due to the weight of the steel part of the chain, the collar is lighter, the section to attach the leash. The nylon webbing always wraps on top, which allows for easy access to attach the leash and avoids pinching any teeth when the collar is fully loose. This is a stainless steel that has so far shown no signs of rusting, even after multiple immersions in salt water. The silicone tips seem to make the pinch less powerful but still effective. They come in a separate bag and need to be installed - I don't think they make much of a difference, mainly because the tips of the pins themselves are rounded, unlike my previous collar where the pins were simply cut off resulting in a sharp edge to the tip of the prong - The large size was big enough for my dog's 23" neck, although I had to use an extra link. Overall I am very happy with the quality, fit and price of this collar. It helps my dog focus, stay in control and definitely reduces the wear and tear on my back. We recommend!
