Review on Skygenius 8x21 Compact Binoculars for Hiking Gear - Folding Binoculars with Fully Muti-Coated Lens Ideal for Travel & Bird Watching (0.38lb) by Mark Callaham

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Didn't ummmphh as described.

These are really affordable binoculars for kids. Actual performance is really not as good as shown in photos and product description. These binoculars were probably better than a toy, yes, but they really weren't far from a toy in terms of actual performance. Depth field was terrible in actual testing. Focus was difficult to get and changed very quickly as the depth of field was so wrong that the result was the subject moving in and out of focus constantly. I assume, of course, that you can easily look at a stationary object. But if you observe any animals, they tend to move. concerts? People tend to move, that is, dance on stage. .After all it's just a toy but since it sells for almost $20 I have to downgrade it to 3 stars. Apparently there are other "brands" of the same thing - this is typical of a mass produced third party product and they are just labeling it for 3,4,5 different sellers selling the same thing. Have a look around, you will find the exact same product with a different brand, maybe 30% cheaper. So what does that tell you? I hope this review has given you some ideas. Much luck!
