Great display at a very affordable price (with HDMI issues)

I'm not crazy or picky about monitors and I never intended to buy an ultra wide monitor. However, due to the COVID-19 situation that has required technicians to work remotely, I decided to purchase it to make the most of the screen real estate to view multiple things at the same time. It was the only monitor with good reviews that I was willing to invest in. Every second 1440p, 60+ Hz ultra-wide display costs over $500, but I liked this one for its value. I had the opportunity to use this for several days and I have to say it was worth every penny. Some things to watch out for: The HDMI port didn't work at all. I use a USB-C Macbook Pro for work and had a DisplayPort dongle to plug it into this monitor and it worked with no issues. However, I'm still using an older 2015 MacBook Pro design that has all the other ports. When I tried to connect it with an HDMI cable, it stretched the content a bit to enlarge it and lowered the resolution. To compensate I bought DisplayPort to Mini DisplayPort for $10 and then the picture was good. So I'm disappointed that the HDMI slot ended up being useless, but if you can overcome that hurdle and rely on DisplayPort, you're good to go. The ability to connect multiple screens at the same time also didn't work. Both screens have been scaled without keeping the same aspect ratio. So, as a regular display with no fancy features, this monitor does its job well. Display quality is on par with $600 1440p monitors, but it clearly lacks advanced features. I can overlook the inability to use the HDMI slots to extend my laptop's display, nor do I care about splitting the screen between multiple computers. At $350, this is a great option for those like me who just want an ultra-wide view and nothing else. For those who are a bit picky about what they're looking for in a monitor, you might want to consider other options before settling on this one.
