Great price for quality

I needed something new, a little more screen real estate. I had two 1080p monitors. My primary monitor is a 23" Acer 144hz monitor and my secondary was a cheap small HP monitor (not sure what size but definitely smaller than my primary monitor). I thought about switching to a third monitor, but I didn't have enough desk space and there was no mount on the back of the HP monitor. Instead of two new monitors to put in, I opted for an ultra-wide monitor. I WILL NOT USE THIS AS THE MAIN DISPLAY. I game a lot and I'm more concerned about refresh rate than resolution, so I use my 1080p 144Hz monitor for my gaming needs. I use the scepter as a second monitor for discord, music, web browsing etc. It's great when I stream every now and then, I can have all the necessary windows open on the screen and they are conveniently placed (controversy, observation, notifications, twitch chat ). The resolution is really nice. It's hard to find other 1440p monitors this size, most of them are 1080. This allows me to pack a lot of stuff on it. Upon arrival I found no dead pixels and no static screen visual issues. The refresh rate is good but not creamy. There is an obvious difference when I go from my 144 to that 100 Hz. The difference is even more obvious based on the small number of tests I've run on games. I wouldn't recommend it as a primary gaming monitor. Colors aren't very accurate either, so if you work a lot with photos or film this might not be ideal for color editing. I will say that the widescreen is great for making music or editing videos (if you color correct the video on a more accurate monitor first). If you can find media with the right aspect ratio (21:9), it will look amazing on this display. The extra resolution along with the size is very exciting. The monitor also comes with speakers but I never use them so I can't comment. It has 3 HDMI ports and 1 display port, but if you want to use 100Hz you have to use the display port. This allows for multiple inputs and you can split the screen to view both. This cannot be seen in the listed pictures, but there is a VESA mount on the back. Mine is currently mounted on my desk, which I highly recommend as the standard stand takes up a lot of space. The standard stand is metal and has a decent weight, but it's a bit wobbly and doesn't offer much room to adjust. Overall this is a great product for my use case. If you're just looking for extra screen space with good resolution and value for money then this is the product for you.
