I just fitted these brackets to a custom made king bed. The bed looks very solid; actually more durable than the expensive store bought bed it replaces. Here's the thing, I believe the brackets in all the photos I've seen aren't installed correctly. If you look at my attached picture, the bracket part is installed with screws on the end of the side rail and the other part (with corner slots) on the bedpost. When the screwed part goes into the slotted part, it pulls the rail tight against the rack - I like that. The more weight is on the rail, the more it is attracted to the rack. In all the other pictures I've seen, the bolted part is on the post and the slotted part is on the rail. This will pull the rail with the screws closer to the bracket under weight; it does not draw the rail and post closer together. Of course you decide how to install the mounts. I really think they should come with instructions but they don't. The only thing to watch out for are the photos provided here on Revain and as mentioned above I don't believe they are accurate.
