After 15 years the starter on my 2004 Honda Accord V6 finally gave up. Before you go out and buy a new starter, make sure that's the problem. There are some simple steps that you can follow. For myself I thought it was a bad starter and to confirm it got it from my local O'Reilly. They test Starter (among other things) for free. And of course it was a bad start. O'Reilly had an unnamed $180 brand, but I wanted a quality part. I had a fight between ACDelco and Denso (who make original alternators for Honda. I have used Denso before and was happy with their alternator too). the car started on the first try. Of course I'll have to wait and see how long the spare part lasts. I'll report back, but so far so good.
