Overall I like the design of the multicooker - the lid has rubber rims to seal, the handles and how they slide over the lid for an even more secure fit when travelling. but the elastic band around the lid keeps all odors out. My first experience with this slow cooker was cooking soup - I have yet to get rid of the smell of the rubber ring that fits on the rim of the lid. I've tried everything. And I mean it stinks. It sits on our counter until I find a home for it, and every time I walk past I can smell the remains of my soup. Yes I removed the lid completely, yes I used baking soda/lemon juice/soap and water/dry cleaners - literally everything. I want a refund but I threw the box away and not sure if I am entitled to it as it has been used. Everything else about it is really great, but without the lid tightening while cooking, I'm not sure it's worth it :-/
