I'm using a tripod with a Celestron 5 megapixel USB microscope (macro image). It has a smaller footprint and better vertical height adjustment than the Celestron tripod. It also flexes less when adjusting the height since it's not entirely plastic. The base is solid and not "wobbly" at all. There is a little play in the vertical dial, but this is not critical. I don't like the highly reflective and cast aluminum structure of the stand's base. This is easily corrected by simply placing a sheet of white paper on the stand while viewing the subject.
