Review on WiFi router TP-LINK Archer AX73, black by Micha Poklkowski ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Nice price, good quality.

I was very pleased with the stable coverage around the apartment, it takes it everywhere, where before 5-ku did not see anything, now it’s a normal reception, 2.4 GHz reception has become worse, because. on the old one there were not native antennas, but at 8 dBi, and here non-removable relatives at 5, but due to the more powerful transmitter at 5 GHz and 4 antennas for this range, the reception is excellent. I am satisfied with the purchase, but if someone needs more, then look at the shortcomings again.

Pros
  • 1. powerful signal at 5 GHz and, accordingly, excellent coverage in an apartment under 100 sq. M. (if something is 23 dBm versus 20 for 2.4 GHz) therefore, the signal strength of 5-ki is often higher than that of 2.4 2. Wi-Fi 6 is a good start for the future 3. Easy to set up 4. availability of USB 3 5. price / quality ratio unbeatable yet 6. MESH technology
Cons
  • - the functionality of the menu and default settings is poor, but all the basics are there - paid services and a mobile application at an inadequately high price, in fact, you will buy a second router in a year - after making a change in settings, you often have to restart manually - an external drive cannot be configured to work on a schedule (well, why should I idle at night? ), with SAMBA and FTP I have not yet figured out how to use it as a shared file storage, problems with deleting and recording, besides, it takes a long time to load data from the library - not much but it heats up even in gentle mode - USB does not yet see modems and printers, like they can later add it to the firmware, but this is far from a fact, I connected the print via LAN
