Review on Control Ignition 703 82510 43 00 Outboard 703 82510 42 00 by Justin Dorsett

When I ordered the part I was concerned that the ten connection points would be correct. The ignition switch assembly was intended to replace the 1998 Yamaha remote start switch. The wiring harness wasn't "quite" the same as the original - it had one less connection point but a different ground wire coming from the switch. I was able to bypass the connection and add a second ground wire higher up the harness, reducing the number of connections in the control box by one. The good news was that the wiring harness was correct and with one less connection it was a lot easier to cram all the wire connections into the very limited space in the control box. The only reason I got four stars instead of five is because I haven't run the engine to test the switch yet. When it gets a little warmer I'll try to light it up and post another review after that. But the hardest part - coordinating the connections - is done and done right.
