Review on Rear Left Tailgate Assist Gas Spring for Nissan Frontier 2005-2021 - Premium Quality by Chris Burns

I installed this on the drivers side of my 2019 Nissan Frontier. Installation was very easy, with one error in the instructions. The upper cable bolt is not 13 mm, but 12 mm. Also, as previous reviewers have noted, the stainless steel clamp that keeps the piston from dislodging from the strut is very loose. As you can see from my photos I wrapped it with nylon wire to keep it from falling off. I didn't give 4 stars. It's made in China, with poorly welded seams on the ends of the pistons. I suspect his life will be shorter than I would like. I hope I'm wrong. I was worried the gaps would be too narrow; However, there is enough space for all parts.
