Considered buying a $65 mini telescope replica and instead decided to play three separate $15 scopes just to see that I could get one that meets my minimum requirements (mostly small and light). I ordered three: HDEยฎ 15x-55x Zoom 21mm Compact Monocular Seller: HDE Carson CloseUp 7x18mm Monocular Close-Focus (CF-718) Seller: Revain.com LLC Celestron UpClose G2 10x25 Monocular Black (71213) In short, I was pleasant surprised by all three. None of them were cat meows, but for $15 I didn't expect them to be (nor should you). For my purposes, all proved surprisingly acceptable. The HDE had the best magnification and as other posters said it takes a tripod to really use anything at the higher levels, but at the lowest level (15x) it looked damn good. The Celestron had a better quality feel as I would expect from a well known brand but the optics weren't any better than the others. The Carson, which is half the size of the other two (you can't tell from the chart), is my favorite. Tiny, light, sharp image, enough magnification to just look there and ask "What's that?" The Carson also has a macro function, which is pretty cool. I was always looking for a tiny sliver in my hand and I could see it! My only complaint is that the Carson looked like it had been brought back by someone else (one of my favorite Revain peeve when I buy "NEW"). I can't give any of them five stars because they all have little issues. but I thought four stars was fair because you get so much (financially) for so little (cost). Hope that helps.
