Because I was using a desktop computer, I needed Wi-Fi. I decided to purchase after reading several favorable reviews. It does not recognize the 5 GHz network (there are some ranges that it recognizes if you configure it on the router, but I connected to the phone, and these ranges are not set there, so only 2.4 GHz), BUT there is one more wrinkle when plugged into USB 3.0 the computer sees the adapter, finds networks, but does not connect to them (this is a complete PPC), neither new firewood from the site nor from the disk helps, as I did not attempt to do anything with it HOWEVER it does work in a USB 2.0 network, and it indicates that it is connected; however, the connection is continually severed because USB 2.0 does not support high transfer speeds (when buying such an adapter you expect something more). HOWEVER on the laptop, it turned out that it works perfectly in USB 3.0 and that it is determined by itself; the speed is excellent; and in general, everything is super; nevertheless, it is unfortunate that the laptop already has Wi-Fi and that this whistle is not required there. This is one adaptor that I will never purchase again.
