I wanted a new star that would bring gold to my room. I didn't want to spend a fortune. Well you get what you pay for. Although the product arrived quickly and in good condition, it is fairly cheap and feels like styrofoam. You can put your nail right through it. It wouldn't be so bad, but the star attachment is WHITE, as is the cord. So unless you have a flocked white tree, it will stand out like a sore thumb. Looking at the product photos, I see that the base is often camouflaged with a bow so it's not as visible. Rather than going back, I decided to paint the base black to blend it with the wood (I had black on hand and had no intention of going out and buying green). I'm not keen on the white cord but I think I can hide it well enough. All in all, it's just a cheap product. Yes, and the product photo on the tree is very misleading. He looks gigantic in this Photoshop image. It's actually 8 inches (the size was good for a 7-9 foot tree).
