Review on Spot Resist Stainless Moen 3942SRS Deck Mounted Kitchen Soap Dispenser with Refillable Above the Sink Bottle by Jamal Gerrero

Long-term test - with useful information

Update after 1 year of ownership: The pump is starting to fail, but there is a solution. When I pressed the pump after about 6 months, it could not rise quickly. It rose slowly again, so that one could not immediately pump 2 times. It definitely slowed down our dishwashing. After another 6 months of this annoyance I bought Moen part #344111 (MUST BUY THIS!). This kit of parts contains the plastic tube assembly you will need. It also includes a soap container which you most likely won't use as the original is very difficult to get out and they last forever anyway. This replacement not only solved the problem but also performed better than the original parts. Interesting enough that many other reviewers have pointed out the exact same issue. I hope the guide from my review helps you make the right decision and if you buy this and have the same problem just buy the part I listed above for $15-18. Original Review: It's a nice, compact size. (about 2.75 inches high) Mechanism. Heavy duty, it's not lightweight like cheaper alternatives that have more plastic than metal. So all good, BUT! You can't easily press to get a small amount of soap like other high-end dispensers. You start with light pressure, and if it doesn't go down, push a little harder. Then boom! You just got about three times more soap than you wanted. The above is the only downside. When drilling a hole in a sink, drill from both sides (top and bottom) as well. Since I only drilled from the top, the metal surrounding the hole was pushed down a bit, allowing water to pool like a tiny ditch around the rim of the dispenser. 4 out of 5 stars for it. All in all I recommend. I uploaded an image to show the "moat". I hope he shows up. Good luck and thanks for reading!
