This filter has more surface area than the competition. Better than Mobile 1 and Fram. I wish it had a black rubber grip like the Fram. A rubber grip helps if your filter gets stuck. I had to puncture the Mobile 1's oil filter with a drill and screwdriver to remove it from a 2003 Honda CR-V. The 2nd generation Honda CRV has a poorly designed oil filter assembly which results in oil dripping onto engine parts when the oil filter is removed. This oil filter will not solve this problem, but there are Honda tools you can purchase to collect the oil, or to collect the oil with aluminum foil. I again bought and installed a Bosch filter to replace a Mobil 1 filter that had a swollen gasket. . I don't use Mobil 1 products. Overpriced in my opinion.
