Best Filter for Honda Civic/CRV

This filter has more surface area than the competition. Better than Mobile 1 and Fram. I wish it had a black rubber grip like the Fram. A rubber grip helps if your filter gets stuck. I had to puncture the Mobile 1's oil filter with a drill and screwdriver to remove it from a 2003 Honda CR-V. The 2nd generation Honda CRV has a poorly designed oil filter assembly which results in oil dripping onto engine parts when the oil filter is removed. This oil filter will not solve this problem, but there…

Poor quality filter

Fits very well. Correct thread pitch and canister diameter. We use them to meet the maintenance needs of all vehicles in our fleet. Supplied complete with check valve, bypass valve, base plate, gasket and spring. It's the number one choice for fleet maintenance, coupon oil changes and anyone looking to keep their parts costs down. You can buy a much better filter if you spend 10x. Please note this is not OEM quality. The rubber shut-off valve is not as durable as silicone. A thin canister has a

Great filter: Oil filter

I love this oil filter. My car actually needs to use the smaller Bosch 3402 which is about an inch shorter but there is more than enough room to use the 3500 instead. The extra filtration and oil volume allows me to change the oil a bit longer, so it really pays off. Of all the filters I've tried with my standard size (Mopar, Wix, Mobil-1, K&N), the Bosch filters worked the best, and this D3500 even better. Just FYI, from what I've heard and what I can tell from the photos, Purolator makes…

High quality oil filter

The BOSCH filter belongs to the medium and high quality filters. Has M20x1.5 on top with nitrile seal. 20 micron filter media with a 14-18 psi bypass from a stamped steel spring at the bottom of the filter element. the element can hold up to 14 grams of dirt/chips etc. In other reviews I have noticed a tendency to say "this filter is heavier than other filters and should be better", yes it is a heavy filter. However, the added weight comes from the fact that the threaded top with oil ports is…

Works, Inexpensive, Meets Specs

What can I say? I read several reviews online about oil filters. Bosch PREMIUM gets good reviews. The price is right. That's a bit more than the Honda Fit's OEM, which is good. It fits perfectly. It won't break the bank. I have ordered 2 for my next scheduled oil change in 10,000 miles. In earnest. My wife's 2012 Honda Fit just put 10,000 miles on the original oil before the driver said it was necessary. In 4 decades I have heard so many arguments about which oil and filter to use and people…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
