I bought this set after getting rid of all teflon pans. I don't have the patience to change them every 2 months, they scratch easily and don't overheat. So I finally settled on a stainless steel pan, which is much more durable and useful for cooking. I love this set and have no regrets! The only thing you should know is that you have to learn it, especially if you have never used stainless steel pans. Learning the right temperature and heating time is a little tricky, especially when you're cooking on an electric stove! But it's manageable, and once you get used to it, you'll never want to go back to Teflon! What I like: - Quantity and ideal sizes that I really need and use; - average weight. Light-colored Teflon is too thin and heats up too quickly; - Comfortable handles. They are easy to use and cool to the touch; - Distribute heat evenly and are durable; - Respond quickly to even the slightest change in temperature; - Nice matte appearance; - Price. A good alternative to all-clad cookware but not as expensive. And one more thing - I do not recommend using a dishwasher. This can ruin the finish and stain the pots. I hand wash them and towel dry them immediately. A little uncomfortable, but it will prolong their life. Hope that helps!
